Armenia’s foreign trade turnover in the January–September 2025 period decreased by 39.3% compared to the same period of the previous year, amounting to $14.56 billion, according to data released by the Statistical Committee.
Exports in the first nine months of this year decreased by 46.8% compared to the same period in 2024, totaling approximately $5.66 billion.
Imports in the first nine months decreased by 33.4% compared to the same period in the previous year, totaling approximately $8.9 billion.
The decline in foreign trade has previously been attributed by Armenian officials to a drop in re-export activity, which, according to them, provides no real economic benefit—therefore, the decrease has no negative impact.
