More than 227,000 tourists visited Armenia in August

A total of 227,026 tourists visited Armenia in August 2026, the Armenian Tourism Committee reported.

According to the Committee, the total number of tourist visits to Armenia between January and August 2026 stood at around 1,467,333.

During the first eight months of the year, the largest share of tourist visits to Armenia came from Russia, accounting for 40% of the total. Georgia ranked second with 14%, followed by Iran with 8%.

The Tourism Committee also published data on the countries accounting for the largest numbers of tourist visits to Armenia between January and August, including visits through Armenia’s border crossing points, as well as the distribution of tourists by gender and age.
