Armenian, Chinese defence ministers discuss cooperation

Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan met Chinese Defence Minister Admiral Dong Jun in Beijing on September 15.

According to the Armenian Ministry of Defence, the meeting focused on Armenia-China cooperation in the field of defence and prospects for its development.

The sides highly assessed the level of bilateral cooperation in the defence sector and emphasised the importance of developing new areas of cooperation and long-term planning.

Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to China Vahe Gevorgyan also attended the meeting.

As previously reported, a delegation led by Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan travelled to the People’s Republic of China on a working visit.
