PM chairs meeting on integrity system for public officials

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has chaired a discussion about the elements of the system of integrity for public officials.
Mariam Galstyan, the acting chair of the Corruption Prevention Commission, noted that the system of integrity is an evolving field, and each year, in line with new regulations, it is necessary to align the conduct with the elements of the system. She then presented details regarding the elements of the integrity system, including the principles of conduct for public officials and civil servants, the rules of behavior derived from those principles, restrictions on accepting gifts, incompatibility requirements, conflicts of interest, and other limitations arising from the performance of official duties. The discussion also addressed the principles and rules of conduct set forth in the Code of Conduct.
The officials exchanged views on the continuous improvement of the mechanisms and structures for assessing integrity. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of ongoing enhancement of the system and public accountability. He instructed to catalog the presented suggestions, opinions, and observations, address them to the relevant authorities, and implement the necessary regulations. PM Nikol Pashinyan also deemed it necessary to organize regular meetings over the matter.
