Armenia, Ghana discuss opportunities to enhance cooperation

Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan met with his Ghanaian counterpart, James Gyakye Quayson, during the Non-Aligned Movement Ministerial Meeting in Kampala.

During the meeting, the Deputy FMs of Armenia and Ghana exchanged views on the steps required to fully realize the untapped potential of Armenia-Ghana relations, the foreign ministry said in a readout. 

They also discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation within multilateral frameworks and international organizations.

The two officials addressed a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest. The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed his counterpart on the latest developments in the South Caucasus region.

Ongoing preparatory efforts for the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be held in Yerevan in 2026, as well as the Government of Armenia’s vision in this regard, were also discussed.
