Cabinet approves Yerevan venue for COP17

The Cabinet has approved the venue for the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) in Armenia. 

COP17 will take place at the Meridian Exhibition Center in Yerevan on October 18-30, 2026.

Extra funds will be redistributed from the state budget to build and improve the required amenities at the venue to host the event on the highest level, Minister of Environment Hambardzum Matevosyan said on social media.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan earlier personally visited Meridian to review the infrastructures.
