Reuters has reported details of the agenda for the upcoming trilateral meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, scheduled for August 8 in Washington.

Citing informed sources, Reuters wrote that during the meeting, the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan are expected to sign a peace framework agreement, under which the United States would receive exclusive rights to develop a strategic transit corridor through the South Caucasus. It is noted that the corridor will be operated within the framework of Armenian legislation.

Unnamed officials told the agency that the agreement would grant the United States exclusive development rights for an extended period over the corridor, which is to be named the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, and known by the acronym TRIPP.

According to the sources, the route would be governed by Armenian law, and the United States would sublease the land to a consortium responsible for infrastructure development and management. One official noted that the initiative is aimed at unlocking the region through commercial means and preventing further hostilities.
