On June 28, Ukraine’s Constitution Day, Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived in Kyiv for a visit, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said on X.

The Foreign Minister welcomed Duda at Kyiv’s Central Railway Station.

"President Duda has stood by Ukraine's side during the most difficult times of Russia's full-scale aggression. We are grateful to him and all Poles who have shown true solidarity with Ukraine," Sybiha said.

Andrzej Duda has been the President of Poland since 2015.

In August, he will leave the presidency of Poland. Duda's successor as president of Poland is Karol Nawrocki.

In early June, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Andrzej Duda to visit Ukraine before the end of his term. He confirmed that he would come on a farewell visit.

RBC Ukraine said the June 28 visit is most likely Duda’s last visit to the country as president.

A meeting with Zelenskyy is expected.
