Prime Minister Pashinyan visits Yerevan State University

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan visited Yerevan State University (YSU), where he was introduced to the ongoing work aimed at developing the university’s laboratory capabilities, the Prime Minister’s Office has said in a statement.

The visit began at the Optics and Photonics Center of YSU’s Institute of Physics, which has been re-equipped with funding from the Armenian Committee for Higher Education and Science, the Innovation Competitive Fund, and YSU itself.

During the tour, the Prime Minister was presented with several other  laboratories, including the Professor Levon Muradyan Laboratory of Ultrafast Optics and Photonics, the Laboratory of Photonics and Artificial Intelligence, the Laboratory of Optical Microsystems, the Laboratory of Advanced Functional Materials, the Laboratory of Optoelectronics and Photonics, and the Center for Semiconductor Devices and Nanotechnologies at the YSU Research Institute of Physics.

Prime Minister Pashinyan also visited the newly established YSU Memorial Park, dedicated to the heroes who died in the 44-day war. He laid flowers and paid tribute to their memory.

The Prime Minister also toured the laboratories of the YSU Faculty of Biology.

From 2022 to 2024, scientific and laboratory equipment worth approximately 3 billion drams was acquired for YSU with state budget funding.

Prime Minister Pashinyan met with YSU lecturers and students, during which he presented the ideology of "Real Armenia."
