The President underscored the importance of relations between Armenia and Kuwait, highlighting the deep historical and cultural ties formed through centuries of contact between the Armenian and Arab peoples.

"The State of Kuwait is a friendly and reliable partner for us. The diplomatic relations between our countries, established over 30 years ago, have created a stable framework for cooperation. I am hopeful that during your tenure, these relations will further develop and deepen in multiple areas," the President noted.

Ambassador Al-Oraifan expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and conveyed  greetings of His Highness Shaikh Meshaal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait.

“I would like to assure you that during my tenure, I will make every effort to further develop and deepen the bilateral relations between our countries,” the Ambassador affirmed.

President Khachaturyan, in turn, asked the Ambassador to convey his best wishes and heartfelt greetings to the Amir.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of high-level mutual visits as a key direction for strengthening bilateral relations. They also underlined the necessity of ensuring the continuity of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Kuwait.

The potential for launching joint cultural initiatives was also discussed. In this context, the significant role of the Armenian community in Kuwait as a cultural bridge between the two nations was highlighted.

Additionally, the parties exchanged views on enhancing parliamentary diplomacy to deepen dialogue and strengthen the legal framework of cooperation.

Special attention was given to the possibility of easing visa procedures for Armenian citizens traveling to Kuwait, which would help foster people-to-people connections and increase mutual visits.

Both sides stressed the need to fully realize the existing potential for cooperation, particularly in tourism, education, sports tourism, and student exchange programs.
