Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated fellow EEU leaders on the occasion of the day of founding of the union.
May 29 marks the signing of the EEU (Eurasian Economic Union) Treaty in 2014.
Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to leaders of the member states; Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, according to the Kremlin.
“Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the Eurasian Economic Union Day,” Putin said in the letter. "Integration processes within the Eurasian Economic Union are developing very dynamically and fruitfully. A common market has been created, ensuring the freedom of movement of goods, services, capital and labor. Harmonization of national legal regulation systems in the most important areas is being carried out, and joint economic and infrastructure projects are being successfully implemented. I am confident that we will continue to build up constructive multilateral cooperation in every possible way – for the benefit of our peoples, in the interests of ensuring prosperity and stability in the Eurasian space. I wish you health and success, and to all your fellow citizens – happiness and prosperity.”
