Deputy FM meets with new ambassador of Kyrgyzstan

The new ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Kubanychbek Bokontaev has presented the copy of credentials to Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, the Deputy Foreign Minister expressed hope that he will contribute significantly to strengthening relations between Armenia and Kyrgyzstan and expanding the bilateral agenda, the foreign ministry said in a readout.

The Deputy FM and the ambassador discussed a wide range of issues related to interstate relations, with particular emphasis on the need for joint steps to fully realize the existing potential in various areas. Both sides noted with satisfaction the intensification of cooperation this year between the foreign ministries and legislative bodies of the two countries.

Deputy FM Safaryan presented Armenia’s vision for achieving lasting peace in the South Caucasus, as well as the Crossroads of Peace initiative developed by the Armenian government. The parties also touched upon regional and international developments of mutual interest.
