Armenian PM congratulates new German chancellor

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan congratulated Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz on assuming office.

“I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of assuming office as Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany,” Pashinyan said in a letter addressed to Merz published by his office.

“Germany is Armenia’s reliable partner and the Government of the Republic of Armenia attaches great importance to the continuous development of multi-sectoral cooperation with it. I hope that during the years of your tenure, the friendly relations formed between our countries will also continue to expand based on common values and mutual trust. We highly appreciate Germany’s support to Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the ongoing democratic reform process in Armenia, as well as further deepening of the Armenia-EU partnership. I am sure that through effective cooperation we will succeed to significantly intensify the Armenia-Germany economic ties also. I wish you success in your responsible mission, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Germany,” he added.
