Cyprus expresses support for swift signing of Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty

Cyprus has welcomed the conclusion of the talks around the peace treaty terms between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

In a statement on X, the Foreign Ministry of Cyprus said it supports a swift signing of the final text of the agreement.

“Cyprus welcomes the progress achieved on the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and supports a swift signing of the final text of the Agreement. This development will mark a crucial step towards stability and prosperity in the region,” the Foreign Ministry of Cyprus said.

The governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan announced on March 13 that the negotiations around the peace treaty have been successfully concluded. The Armenian government has expressed readiness to start discussions with Azerbaijan around the date and location of signing the agreement.
