Russia backs the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations - Putin

The Kremlin’s official website has released details of a phone conversation between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the Kremlin’s official website, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan informed the Russian President about the conclusion of the Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations on the draft peace treaty and Yerevan’s readiness to sign the important document.

President Putin emphasized that Russia has always advocated and continues to advocate for the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations in the interests of security, stability, and sustainable socio-economic development in the South Caucasus region.

He added that both Armenia and Azerbaijan can count on Russia’s full support in achieving these goals.
