In the final round of the UEFA Futsal EURO 2026 qualifying stage, the Armenian national futsal team faced Kazakhstan on March 12 in Yerevan and secured a 4-2 victory.
Armenian national football team member Nikita Khromykh scored the first goal of the match. After conceding, Kazakhstan took the initiative, but during a counterattack in the 13th minute, Khromykh doubled Armenia’s lead. Before the end of the first half, Kazakhstan managed to score, reducing the gap, with Tursagulov netting the goal.
At the start of the second half, in the 23rd minute, Armenian team member Khromykh completed his hat trick. Later, spotting the opposing goalkeeper out of position, Armenian futsal team goalkeeper Albert Aghajanov scored with a long-range shot. However, in the 32nd minute, Aghajanov also conceded an own goal.
Final score: Armenia 4-2 Kazakhstan.
With this victory, Armenia topped the group with 16 points and secured a place in the UEFA Futsal EURO main round for the first time in the nation’s history.
