Mutual trade between EEU member states grows 6,3%

The mutual trade volume between Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states grew 6,3% in 2024, the union’s executive body told Armenpress.
In written comments for Armenpress, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s trade department told Armenpress that the main distribution of mutual trade had the following picture – Russia – 55%, Belarus – 28,5%, Kazakhstan – 11,4%, Armenia – 3,6%, Kyrgyzstan – 1,6%.
“With results of 2024, the share of mutual trade between member states in the total trade of the EEU comprised 17%. In terms of Armenia, the mutual trade share in 2024 comprised 25,6% of the total volume of the country’s foreign trade,” the EEC said.
According to the EEC, within the structure of Armenia’s mutual trade, 94,6% of Armenian goods exports went to Russia, 3,4% to Belarus, 1,6% to Kazakhstan and 0,4% to Kyrgyzstan.
Meanwhile, Armenia’s EEU imports data shows 98,5% of imports came from Russia, 1% from Belarus, 0,5% from Kazakhstan and 0,01% from Kyrgyzstan.
In 2024, 44% of Armenian exports to fellow EEU member states was machinery, equipment and transportation means, while 23,7% was food and agricultural products, which also had significant share in Armenia’s exports.
