EU Ambassador to Armenia Vassilis Maragos expresses condolences on the anniversary of the Sumgait massacres

Head of the EU delegation in the Republic of Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, in a post on X, has expressed condolences on the 37th anniversary of the massacres in Sumgait. 

“We remember Sumgait 1988 & express our deep condolences to all those who lost relatives/friends. EU is committed to peace & normalization in region. We need to work together to achieve reconciliation &  sustainable lasting peace to ensure such tragedies never happen again to any people,’’ posted Head of the Delegation of the EU to the Republic of Armenia.
