Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem requests Netanyahu intervention in tax issue

The Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, Archbishop Nourhan Manougian, sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the Arnona (Municipality Tax) issue.

In his letter, Archbishop Nourhan Manougian exhorted the Israeli PM to interfere and cease the actions taken by the Municipality against the Patriarchate and restart the meetings within the governmental committee founded by the Prime Minister himself in an effort to find a solution for this issue, Chancellor of the patriarchate Fr. Aghan Gogchyan said in a statement.

The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem is trying to prevent the foreclosure of its historic properties by the Jerusalem Municipality over a disputed municipal tax debt.
