Iran, Armenia have always maintained bilateral relations free from external pressures, envoy assures

The Armenian authorities have informed the Iranian side that the strategic document signed between Armenia and the United States does not contradict Armenia-Iran relations. The Armenian side emphasized that it will not take steps that could harm Iran's interests or bilateral relations, said Iran's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani, during a press conference held Thursday.

"Iran and Armenia have always managed to maintain bilateral relations free from the influence of pressures from various sides. The mutual understanding and perception between the Armenian and Iranian authorities on this issue are crucial. It can be confidently stated that bilateral relations serve the benefit of our countries and peoples. Mutual understanding helps us jointly manage developments and further advance bilateral relations," said Mehdi Sobhani.
