On January 20, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan, who is in Tehran on a working visit, had a meeting with Kamal Kharrazi, the Foreign Policy Advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader and Head of Iran Strategic Council on Foreign Relations.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, touching upon the agenda of bilateral relations, the counterparts commended the established cooperation between Armenia and Iran and highlighted the importance of efforts aimed at continuously deepening relations.
The importance of Iran's firm stance on the unconditional respect for the territorial integrity and inviolability of the borders of the Republic of Armenia was emphasized. The consistent development of bilateral relations in the economic and infrastructure sectors was commended.
Vahan Kostanyan briefed Kamal Kharrazi on the details of the processes regarding Armenia's foreign policy agenda and recent regional developments, emphasizing that within the framework of Armenia's balanced foreign policy, particular importance is attached to the continuous development of Armenia's relations with regional partners, particularly with Iran.
