YEREVAN, DECEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. Ara Mkrtchyan has been appointed the Honorary Consul of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the Republic of Armenia. The Honorary Consulate is located in Yerevan, at 1 Northern Avenue.
“It's a great honor to serve as the Honorary Consul of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the Republic of Armenia. Our goal is to create stronger connections, enhance economic relations, promote trade and investment, scientific and educational ties and unlock the tourism potential of our two countries building on the solid foundation of friendly relations between Armenia and Jordan. I am committed to advancing collaboration across various sectors, deepening partnerships, and supporting the implementation of joint initiatives. The Honorary Consulate will serve as a platform for strengthening economic and cultural connections, offering support to businesses, investors, tourists, and students,” Jordan’s Honorary Consul in Armenia Ara Mkrtchyan said.
Ara Mkrtchyan, born in Yerevan in 1981, graduated from the Faculty of International Relations at Yerevan State University and served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. With over 20 years of experience, he has a proven track record in managing multifunctional enterprises across construction, energy, and other industries.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan were established on June 18, 1996. Over the years, numerous bilateral agreements have been signed, and high-level official visits have been conducted.
