YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Several roads in Armenia are closed. The road linking the Amberd high-mountain meteorological station to Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province is closed.
According to the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the curves of Spitak are closed to trucks.
The Vardenyats Pass is open to trucks, provided they use tire chains.The roads in the Artik region are difficult to pass for all types of vehicles. The roads in the Ashotsk region are difficult to pass for trucks.
Snowfall has been observed in the Vardenyats Pass, the Aragats region, the Shirak region (except for Akhuryan), in the Saravan-Zanger section, and in the cities of Vanadzor, Aparan, Talin, Jermuk and Kajaran, as well as in the curves of Jajur.
Black ice is observed on some sections of the highways in the Artik, Aparan, and Aragats regions.
Foggy conditions are observed in the Aragats region, in the highlands of Syunik Province, and in the area called "Meghri Mountain."
The Rescue Service has cautioned drivers to travel using exclusively winter tires.
The Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to all types of vehicles, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in North Ossetia.
