Prime Minister Pashinyan names pick for tax chief

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. Eduard Hakobyan will be appointed Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced Tuesday.

“Dear countrymen, Eduard Hakobyan, who is currently the Deputy Minister of Finance, will be appointed Chairman of the State Revenue Committee,” Pashinyan said on social media.

The position has been vacant since the resignation of Rustam Badasyan on November 18. Badasyan was one of the several high-ranking officials who stepped down after PM Pashinyan asked them to do so over insufficient progress in ongoing reforms.
