New chapter in bilateral ties: Armenian Speaker of Parliament, Vietnam’s President discuss cooperation

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of Parliament of Armenia Alen Simonyan has met with President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Luong Cuong during his official visit to the country.

The sides discussed a broad range of issues related to the Armenian-Vietnamese relations, the parliament’s press service said in a readout.

Speaker Simonyan thanked the Vietnamese side for the warm reception and described his official visit as highly productive. The Vietnamese president thanked Speaker Simonyan for the visit and stated that a new chapter has been opened in the bilateral relations.

Speaker Simonyan and President Luong Cuong also discussed investment issues and stressed that untapped resources still exist despite the growing pace of trade. The discussions also centered on launching cooperation in the educational sector, based on the successful historical experience.
