Parliament elects new head of regulatory body

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS. Mesrop Mesropyan, a former governor of Kotayk province, on Friday successfully passed a vote in parliament to become Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission.  He was nominated for the post by the Cabinet.

Only 66 out of 107 MPs participated in the voting. 65 of them voted in favor, while 1 against.

The post had been vacant since Garegin Baghramyan’s resignation in October.
