YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Armenia is still undecided about participation in the COP29 in Baku, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan has said.
Discussions on the matter are underway and it is associated with the dynamics in the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations process, Kostanyan said.
“As of this moment Armenia doesn’t have a decision yet about participation or non-participation in COP29, and discussions are underway. This has to do with the dynamics in the negotiations process,” Kostanyan told reporters.
He said that Armenia is interested in intensifying contacts with the Azerbaijani side to swiftly conclude the finalization of the peace treaty.
At this moment there is no concrete agreement on the next ministerial meeting or a summit.
“But the Armenian side is eager to intensify contacts in order to make possible the finalization of the text of the treaty as soon as possible,” Kostanyan said.
The sides do not have a final agreement regarding all terms of the would-be treaty. The negotiations between the two sides will continue, he said.
