Political consultations held between Armenian and Polish foreign ministries

Political consultations between the foreign ministries of Armenia and Poland were held at the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, led by Armenian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Vahan Kostanyan and Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs State Secretary Marcin Bosacki.

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade said this in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

“The interlocutors highly appreciated the intensified political dialogue between the two countries in recent months, highlighting the Armenian Prime Minister’s official visit to Warsaw in February and the Polish Prime Minister’s participation in the European Political Community summit in Yerevan.

A wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda was addressed, and readiness to raise relations to a qualitatively new level was emphasised.

In the context of diversifying Armenia’s economic potential, Vahan Kostanyan and Marcin Bosacki discussed opportunities to expand trade and economic ties, promote mutual investment and strengthen direct contacts between business communities,” the statement said.

The interlocutors highlighted the deepening of cooperation in the fields of high technologies, agriculture, defence, strengthening democratic resilience, as well as education, science and culture, stressing the importance of implementing joint initiatives.

In the context of deepening the Armenia-EU partnership, State Secretary Bosacki reaffirmed Poland’s readiness to support Armenia’s European agenda through the implementation of joint programmes.

“Views were also exchanged on regional and international developments. Vahan Kostanyan presented to his Polish counterpart the new opportunities for economic development and connectivity created as a result of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including ongoing work towards the implementation of the TRIPP project.

Vahan Kostanyan and Marcin Bosacki also delivered opening remarks at a workshop organised by the Polish government for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade as part of Armenia’s process of rapprochement with the European Union, highlighting the importance of exchanging experience between the two countries’ ministries and implementing joint programmes,” the statement said.
