YEREVAN, 5 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced the newly appointed Minister of Justice, Srbuhi Galyan, to the ministry staff.
Pashinyan first expressed gratitude to Grigor Minasyan for his service as Minister of Justice, emphasizing the significant and visible reforms implemented in the justice sector during his tenure.
"I would like to highlight and express special appreciation for the Ministry of Justice's legal support in the border delimitation process between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan," Pashinyan stated.
The Prime Minister noted that, particularly during Minasyan's tenure, many of the government's expectations from the justice sector and the judicial system were met, unprecedented in both scope and form.
"Perhaps the time has come—or perhaps it is high time in the public perception—for these actions to yield results," Pashinyan remarked.
In this context, he contemplated the reasons why the public still has doubts and hopes for trust in institutions, despite the many changes and investments that have been made.
"I must honestly say that one reason for this, in my opinion, is that we in the Republic of Armenia do want justice and fairness; we do not seek it formally, but truly desire it," he said.
Pashinyan expressed his belief that the development of the country is impossible without the introduction and implementation of institutional justice. He wished success to the newly appointed Minister Galyan.
Former Minister Grigor Minasyan thanked the Prime Minister for his trust and high regard.
In turn, Srbuhi Galyan expressed her gratitude to Pashinyan, stating that she approaches her role with care, love, and a strong sense of responsibility, aiming to give new momentum to all the programs currently on the government’s agenda.
