Reporters Without Borders Index: Armenia leads region in press freedom ranking, position upgraded

Armenia has improved its position in the 2025 Reporters Without Borders’ Press Freedom Index, ranking 34th against last year’s 43rd among 180 countries.
The report shows that Armenia has the freest press in the region as in previous rankings.
Armenia has a score of 73,96.
Armenia’s neighbor Georgia is ranked 114th with a score of 50,53, while Azerbaijan is 167th.
Turkiye is ranked 159th, while Iran is 176th.
Just like last year, Norway is 1st with a score of 92,31.
Estonia and the Netherlands are 2nd and 3rd respectively.
