Armenia, India discuss boosting high-tech cooperation

YEREVAN, AUGUST 30, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan has met with Ambassador of India Nilakshi Saha Sinha to discuss prospects of boosting bilateral cooperation in the high-tech industry sector.

Minister Hayrapetyan, mentioning the rich historic ties between Armenia and India, underscored the huge potential of future cooperation, the ministry said in a readout. He said that the latest developments have showcased the broad opportunities to deepen cooperation in the sector.

The meeting focused on possibilities for stronger partnership in digitization, R&D and IT. The officials highlighted the importance of joint initiatives in development and production of microelectronics and semiconductor components. 

Hayrapetyan said that Armenia is ready to continue discussions on proposed options of cooperation.
