YEREVAN, JULY 26, ARMENPRESS. Armenia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan met with Dimitris Kairidis, Acting President of the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Parliament.
According to the readout issued by the Armenian Embassy in Greece, at the meeting Tigran Mkrtchyan presented the high level of Armenia-EU and Armenia-Greece cooperation, the tendencies of their deepening in the near future, including in the context of cooperation on parliamentary platforms.
The Ambassador also presented regional developments, Armenia's initiatives to establish sustainable peace and the main obstacles on this path.
Dimitris Kairidis, in turn, emphasized the effective cooperation between the two countries on multilateral parliamentary platforms. He also expressed unconditional support for Armenia and the Armenian people, and emphasized his ties with the Greek-Armenian community.
The interlocutors discussed a number of initiatives aimed at developing mutually beneficial bilateral relations.
