Tigran Mkrtchyan outlines Armenia's foreign policy challenges to Greek Prime Minister's Office coordinator

YEREVAN, JULY 22, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan met with the coordinator of the Office of the Prime Minister of Greece Ioannis Papageorgiou, in Thessaloniki.

According to the readout issued by Embassy of Armenia in Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, thanking for the meeting, touched upon the working visit of the Prime Minister of Armenia to Greece in February this year, the progress in implementing the agreements reached following the meeting of the two leaders.

Armenian Ambassador presented the main challenges of Armenia's foreign policy, the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, the current stage of the settlement processes with Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Ioannis Papageorgiou, in turn, emphasized that relations with Armenia and the Armenian people which is important for Greece. He noted the centuries-old presence of the Armenian community in Thessaloniki and its significant role in all spheres of the city's life.

The interlocutors discussed a number of initiatives related to the development of bilateral relations.
