Border delimitation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan important for regional stability - Zakharova

YEREVAN, 30 MAY, ARMENPRESS. The Russian Federation is following the border delimitation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during Thursday’s weekly press conference, noting that the process is of great importance for establishing stability in the region.

"We support all processes aimed at a peaceful settlement exclusively through diplomatic methods and believe that agreements should be consistent, balanced, and mutually beneficial, serving as the foundation for establishing strong peace in the region. We confirm our readiness to play a consultative role in the border delimitation process, based on the tripartite agreement reached between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan," said Maria Zakharova in her speech.

Referring to the protest actions held by the participants of the 'Tavush for the Motherland' movement, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the Russian Federation considers these processes to be internal affairs of the Republic of Armenia. Zakharova emphasized that Russia is ready to continue maintaining the same full, friendly relations with the Armenian people, which are especially manifested when the fraternal people feel the need for it.
