Pashinyan explains agreement to hold Armenia-Azerbaijan foreign ministers' meeting in Berlin

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 28, ARMENPRESS.Armenia has agreed to hold a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Germany, given that Germany is a party to the quadrilateral meeting in Granada and has signed three important principles.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this Wednesday during a question-and-answer session with members of the government in the National Assembly.

Pashinyan recalled that a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan is being held in Germany on February 28.

"Germany is a party to the Granada quadrilateral meeting and has signed three important principles: first, the mutual recognition of the territorial integrity of Armenia and Azerbaijan based on the Alma-Ata Declaration; secondly, the Alma-Ata Declaration should serve as the basis for the delimitation process; and thirdly, regional communications should adhere to the principles of sovereignty, jurisdiction, equality, and reciprocity among countries. In other words, no other political content can be discussed in Berlin. That's also why we have agreed to have that discussion in Berlin," said Pashinyan.
