Bilateral meetings expected during informal summit of CIS, says Kremlin

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. Bilateral meetings are expected during the informal summit of the CIS in Saint Petersburg, Russia, the Kremlin said.

A trilateral meeting between the Armenia, Russian and Azeri leaders is not planned, TASS reported citing Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

“No, there won’t be a trilateral meeting, but bilateral contacts will certainly take place within the framework of this informal meeting,” Peskov told reporters when asked whether a trilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is scheduled.

Peskov added that Putin doesn’t plan to hold meetings with Tajik and Kyrgyz leaders Emomali Rahmon and Sadyr Japarov.
