Speaker of Parliament expects UNSC meeting results to be reflected on the ground

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Armenia will continue utilizing all possible measures to work around the Lachin Corridor issue and won’t be limited only with the results of the UN Security Council session, Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan told reporters when asked what processes are expected on the ground after the UNSC session.

“We will continue to deal with the issue in the Lachin Corridor with all possible measures and we won’t be limited with this alone. It is unequivocal, the Lachin Corridor must be opened because the closure will cause a humanitarian disaster, and we expect that this will have its manifestation on the ground. I honestly have the impression that today Azerbaijan has found itself to some extent in a deadlock as a result of its own actions, because I assume it didn’t expect this kind of a reaction,” Simonyan said.
