We are with Armenia: Switzerland-Armenia Friendship Group condemns Azerbaijan’s aggression

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS. The Switzerland-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group condemns Azerbaijan’s latest aggression against Armenia, Member of the parliament of Switzerland Stefan Müller-Altermatt said during a press conference in the Armenian Parliament.

“Armenia is part of our community and shares our values. That’s why we are here to protect that values. We are here to condemn the military aggression that happened against Armenia on September 13. We have seen crimes and want to state that we are with Armenia and we condemn the actions of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan bears full responsibility for the incidents that happened”, he said.

The Swiss lawmaker said that their Friendship Group came to Armenia to say clearly who the aggressor is and tell that they are aware of what is happening on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

“We see that there is a concrete aggressor. We are here to say that you are not alone, we are part of the international eye and ear. And they are open so that we can carefully listen to you. Criminally condemnable acts, as for example the footage showing execution of Armenian prisoners of war, are war crimes. War crimes must be punished. The territorial integrity of Armenia is the most important for achieving long-term peace in this region. And the international community must condemn in order to protect Armenia”, Stefan Müller-Altermatt said.
