Armenia-Saudi Arabia Friendship Group to be created: National Assembly Council Sitting held

On February 10, the sitting of the National Assembly Council was held. It was presided over the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan, the Parliament has said in a press release.

The drafts on making addenda to the agenda of the ninth session of the eighth convocation of the National Assembly and the agenda of the regular sittings to be convened on February 11 were debated.

Before the drafts were approved, at the proposal of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Tsovinar Vardanyan, the Government-authored bill on Making Amendments to the Law on the State Supervision Service and the package of the attached bills, and at the proposal of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs Heriknaz Tigranyan, the package of bills on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia and the attached bills authored by MP Hayk Sargsyan were not included in the agenda of the regular sittings.

The sequence and duration of the debate of the agenda items of the regular sittings were established.

8 items were included in the draft agenda of the regular sittings to be convened on February 11.

Amendments and addenda were made to the decisions of the National Assembly Council for 2017 and 2021.

The amendment to the corresponding decision of the NA Council envisages the creation of an Armenia-Saudi Arabia Friendship Group.
