Azerbaijan is in constant contact with authorities of Artsakh on many issues – Armenian Parliament Speaker

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS. The authorities of Armenia have always proposed that Artsakh must be involved and is involved in all discussions and issues, Speaker of Parliament of Armenia Alen Simonyan told reporters following the meeting with the delegation of Artsakh led by President Arayik Harutyunyan.

“We propose Artsakh what we have always proposed: Artsakh must be independently involved and is involved in all discussions and issues. At the same time, the Republic of Armenia must be maximally involved in those talks”, the Speaker said.

Commenting on the statement of Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev that they will negotiate with Artsakh whenever they want and in what way they want, the Speaker said that there have been many issues until now which Azerbaijan has discussed and negotiated with the authorities of Artsakh.

“At the same time, Azerbaijan is in a constant contact with the legal authorities of Artsakh on many issues. There are even cases when the authorities of Artsakh are more informed in terms of information than we. It’s understandable that the leadership of the neighbor country must give other wordings, call Stepanakert in an Azerbaijani name and so on. I ask to consider this within that logic. Meanwhile, let’s remember that the negotiation process has not ended, there is no document that we can refer to”, he said.
