ARMENPRESS and Italian ANSA sign cooperation agreement

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. From now on, the Armenian and Italian societies will be more informed about the developments taking place in their countries.

Today, on September 30, ARMENPRESS news agency of Armenia and ANSA news agency of Italy signed a cooperation agreement in Zurich, Switzerland.

The agreement was signed by ARMENPRESS Director Narine Nazaryan and ANSA Chief Executive Officer Stefano De Alessandri.

The agreement will allow to conduct an exchange of newswire, photos and videos between the agencies. With this agreement, the two agencies have also been obliged to assist one another if necessary in organizing the work of journalists and providing information in each other's countries.

In her remarks, Director of ARMENPRESS Narine Nazaryan highlighted the importance of the agreement, stating in particular: “The relations between Armenia and Italy have a history of centuries. The two countries are cooperating in many areas. This agreement will allow our countries to be closer to each other, build a new history of friendship with the main goal of strengthening trust, making societies more aware of one another. Attaching great importance to international partnership, ARMENPRESS news agency has signed cooperation agreements with more than 25 news agencies around the world. With this step we will try to be closer to the world, exchange of news is one of the tools for mutual recognition. ANSA is the leading Italian news agency with a great amount of collected and disseminated news. We share the same values of professional work and continuous development, and we are sure that this cooperation will bring its contribution to making news and truth available to broader public”.

In his turn, ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri said: “This partnership is another piece of our international networking strategy with top news agencies from all around the world and it will contribute to increasing mutual knowledge of the two countries. Furthermore, the agreement reached will open up interesting opportunities for the development of commercial agreements in the respective countries, while our subscribers will have an even broader and more complete news service”.

Italian ANSA (Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata) was founded in 1945. Today, the news agency has 22 offices in Italy and 81 in 78 countries of the world. The agency publishes 3500 articles and over 1500 photos daily. ANSA publishes news in Italian, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Arabic.

ARMENPRESS news agency was founded on December 18, 1918. The agency publishes around 350 articles daily in Armenian, Russian, English, Arabic, French, Turkish and Spanish languages.
