Armenia is ready to deepen relations with Denmark: Serzh Sargsyan

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdomof Denmark to Armenia ChristianDons Christensen (residence in Kiev) handed his credentials to President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on November 27. As “Armenpress” was informed by the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Office to the President of the Republic of Armenia, President Sargsyan congratulated the newly-appointed Ambassador for assuming the office wishing achievements during his diplomatic mission in our country. Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that Armenia is ready to deepen its relations with Kingdomof Denmark both in bilateral and multilateral formats.

The President of the Republic of Armenia attached importance to the expansion of the legal framework in different sectors of the two countries, mutual high level visits, deepening of interparliamentary relations as well as close cooperation in the framework of international structures.

President Sargsyan thanked Kingdomof Denmark for the assistance it provided to Armenia in the implementation of democratic reforms. Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that the Armenian people highly appreciated Denmark’s support in the organization of the ecumenical service dedicated to the centennial of the Armenian Genocide held in Copenhagen Cathedral on April 19, 2015, as well as the statement adopted by Denmark parliament. The latter, as President Sargsyan is convinced, is a serious step toward recognition process of the Armenian Genocide.
