Newly appointed Ambassador of Montenegro presents copy of credentials to President Khachaturyan

Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Borjanka Simićević, handed over a copy of her credentials to Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan.
According to the Presidential Office, the President congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador and expressed hope that, thanks to her efforts, cooperation between the two countries will further expand, covering new areas.
The President emphasized the significance of the relations between the two countries due to their shared historical background. President Khachaturyan also noted that there is significant untapped potential for cooperation between Armenia and Montenegro.
According to the source, Ambassador Simićević thanked the President for the reception and fully supported his remarks.
"Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, we have worked dedicatedly to expand our cooperation, and we have taken significant steps in that direction. However, there is still considerable untapped potential to further expand the scope of our cooperation," she said, assuring that she will exert all necessary efforts to enhance them.
During the meeting, the possibilities of promoting cooperation in areas of mutual interest were discussed. Both the intensification of high-level mutual visits and efforts to promote parliamentary diplomacy were emphasized as important for strengthening relations between the two countries.
The meeting also focused on the need to take steps toward realizing the existing potential for cooperation in education, tourism, high technologies, and other sectors.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the current regional situation and developments. In this context, President Khachaturyan expressed Armenia's commitment to achieving lasting peace in the region.
