On August 27, on the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Armenia and the European Integration organization, a round-table discussion took place in Yerevan on the theme: "Nuclear disarmament. Joint efforts of Armenia and Kazakhstan in the international arena". As reports “Armenpress”, the discussion was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Armenia Aiymdos Bozzhigitov. According to him, thanks to renunciation of nuclear weapons, his country has become a responsible and reliable partner in the international arena.

“Thanks to the prudent and far-sighted policy of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, today Kazakhstan has reinforced its position on the international platform as a responsible and reliable partner. Today we take part in the process of settlement of both regional and international issues. One of the first steps, which was appreciated by the international community, was the renunciation of nuclear weapon - fourth in the world in size,” said the Ambassador, highly appreciating Armenia’s support in the fight against the spread of nuclear weapons.
