Armenia will join Eurasian Economic Union by end of year: Armenia’s Prime Minister

YEREVAN, JULY 3, ARMENPRESS. There is no problem in the issue of Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. According to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, by the end of the year all the problems related to the membership will get their solutions and the agreement of the membership will be signed. Armenpress reports that in a conversation with the journalists held before the ARP Executive Body session the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan noted that on July 3 the Presidents of EEC member countries had to meet but that meeting was not held. According to the Prime Minister, he does not know the reasons for the delay of the meeting, but there is no political problem and Armenia has fulfilled all the faced obligations. “We have completely fulfilled our obligations. I do not see any political problems. A working meeting is envisaged with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev on July 11 and one of the agenda issues will be that. In any case there is no political problem, the problems are few and are organizational,” the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia underscored. Hovik Abrahamyan added that by the end of the year the agreement of the membership will be signed.
