Armenian FM meets with Moldovan counterpart in Bratislava

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met on December 5 with Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Aureliu Ciocoi on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Bratislava, the Armenian MFA told Armenpress.

The Armenian FM congratulated his Moldovan counterpart on assuming office and wished success in his responsible mission.

The sides highlighted the bilateral readiness to take practical actions to further strengthen the Armenian-Moldovan relations and enrich the bilateral agenda. In this context they attached importance to boosting the dialogue at various levels, via holding regular political consultations between the ministries.

Both sides highlighted the role of the Armenian community of Moldova in the country’s public, political life and its contribution to the strengthening of the friendly ties between the two countries.

The Armenian and Moldovan FMs valued the current level of the mutual partnership between the two countries in multilateral platforms.

The ministers also touched upon a number of international and regional issues. Coming to Armenia’s foreign policy priorities the FM introduced his counterpart on Armenia’s principled position and approaches in regards to the settlement process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
