YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Turkish airline AtlasGlobal has temporarily suspended all its flights, including the flight en route Istanbul-Yerevan-Istanbul. The passengers have to return to Yerevan or Istanbul by their own money, expecting a compensation promised by the airline, Stepan Palaslyan, acting head of the department of air transportation regulation at the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, told Armenpress.

“I contacted the representative of ASA Travel, AtlasGlobal’s representation in Armenia. He said that at the moment all passengers, who already bought tickets and boarded, are informed about the decision. The latter also added that all those who already bought tickets and departed, currently face a problem of returning to Yerevan or returning back to Istanbul from Yerevan, they must travel with their money, and then apply to the airline demanding compensation”, Palaslyan said.

Palaslyan urged the company representative to release a statement for instance on Facebook so that people will be informed. The representative assured that all passengers are informed about the matter via different communication means and know what they need to do. The Civil Aviation Committee didn’t receive any complaint yet from any passenger.

In turn the airline AtlasGlobal also issued a statement, informing all passengers that the company is currently at a phase of restructuring in order to provide a unique flight experience. “As of the 26th of November 2019, we have temporarily suspended all our flights until 21st of December 2019. During this period, all flight irregularities on the tickets until the 15th of December 2019 will be assessed by our teams. All procedure regarding involuntary change and/or refund will be announced on 16th of December 2019, on our website. Please contact callcenter@atlasglb.com with your PNR and flight information should you have any further inquiries and questions. Tickets sales will be suspended until the 16th of December 2019 on all our sales channels including our web-site, mobile apps, etc”, the airline said in the statement.

AtlasGlobal operates direct Istanbul-Yerevan-Istanbul flights twice a week.
