Artsakh to host CONIFA 2019 European Football Cup, 12 teams to compete for title

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 1, ARMENPRESS. 12 teams will compete at the CONIFA 2019 European Football Cup in Artsakh.

CONIFA, the Confederation of Independent Football Associations, is the football federation for all associations outside FIFA. Colloquially speaking the CONIFA European Football Cup is for unrecognized countries. Two Armenian teams will participate in the tournament.

The CONIFA 2019 matches in Artsakh will take place in the Stepanakert city stadium.

The 12 teams are divided into 4 groups.

A Group – Artsakh, Lapland, Luhansk

B Group – Abkhazia, County of Nice, Chameria

C Group – Padania, Donetsk, Sardinia

D Group - Szekely Land, Western Armenia, South Ossetia

The championship will take place in June, 2019.
