Exhibition dedicated to Armenian Genocide opens in the museum for Islamic art

YEREVAN, JANUARY 16, ARMENPRESS. An exhibition dedicated to the Armenian Genocide has been opened in the Museum for Islamic Art in Jerusalem. The exhibition had the title "The Sick Man of Europe: The Composer".

As “Armenpress” was informed from Archimandrite of Armenian Patriarchate of JerusalemKoryun Baghdasaryanthe, the former Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem representing left-wing Meretz party was among the guests.

During the exhibition a film dedicated to the life of Komitas was screened which was prepared by an Israeli artist Dor Guez. Before the opening of the exhibition the chore of the Armenian Seminary performed several pieces from Komitas. Thereafter the audience was addressed by Dor Geuz and the director of the museum.

The exhibition will be in place until end of March.
