Azerbaijan fires AGS-17 grenade launcher at Nagorno Karabakh line of contact

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 7, ARMENPRESS. The Defense Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh says the Azerbaijani forces fired over 1800 shots at Armenian positions in Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact.

The Ministry’s announcement reads: “Overnight October 6-7 the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire regime more than 50 times by firing over 1800 shots from various caliber weapons at the Armenian positions in Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact. Intense violations took place in northern and northeastern directions. In these directions the Azerbaijani forces used DShK heavy machine gun (155 shots) and “Istiglal” anti-materiel rifle (109 shots).

The Azerbaijani side also fired AGS-17 grenade launcher (1 shell) at the northern direction.

The Defense Army forces took counter measures for suppressing the Azerbaijani activeness and continued confidently fulfilling their military tasks”.
